Discover Scenic Routes for Your Biking Adventure

Destin & Miramar Beach

  • Scenic Hwy 98 / Scenic Gulf Drive AKA "Scenic"

  • 5 miles of the best beach views

  • Plentiful with food and drink, ice cream, coffee, beach stores, and beach access.

  • Shared path to beat the traffic

  • The Commons Shopping Center is found at the west end by turning north onto Crystal Beach Drive and crossing Hwy 98. There are big box brand stores, many restaurants, a movie theatre, and so much more.

  • The Silver Sands Outlets is found at the east end by crossing Hwy 98. Similar to the Commons, you will find big box stores, restaurants, Starbucks, and more.

Scenic to the Destin Harbor

  • 5.5 miles / 30min ride on a shared path

  • At the Harbor: Enjoy watching the boats come in and out of the famous Destin Harbor while eating some great seafood at one of the many harborside restaurants. Enjoy some entertainment at Harborwalk Village during the day or when it cools a little at night.

  • Norriego Point: On the way to the harbor take Gulf Shore Drive and bike down the peninsula on the south side of the Harbor. Reach the public beach at the end and enjoy snorkeling near the jetties or relax and watch all sizes and types of boats traveling through the pass.

  • Henderson Beach State Park: While being a relatively small park it still offers a great day of enjoyment. There is a 1 mile paved road to bike, but often most time is spent enjoying the less crowded beach, taking a stroll down the little nature path, and enjoying the 30 foot dunes.

  • The Back Porch: While there are other restaurants and also a public beach access in this particular area The Back Porch is always a local and visitor favorite. Turn onto Restaurant Row across from the famous Palms Resort and head south till you find it!

Sandestin & Miramar Beach to 30A

  • The vast Sandestin Resort houses the popular Village of Baytowne Wharf and Marina.Throughout north Sandestin you’re surrounded by a beautiful scenery of trees and the accompanying golf course. Just outside of the resort is Grand Boulevard. Here you’ll find fine restaurants, boutiques, a dine & wine movie theater, grocery, and more.

  • From the end of Scenic to the start of 30A is about 4.5 miles. Along the way you’ll find places to eat and shop including my friend’s coastal furniture and art boutique, Not Too Shabby. Be sure to stop in for upscale unique furnishings you won’t find anywhere else.

  • From the rental shop to 30A is about 7 miles.

30A / South Walton

  • The Timpoochee Trail: Paralleling Co Rd 30A, or simply 30A, is an 18.2 mile long shared path with multiple unique little towns spread throughout. You'll find fresh water lakes, true Florida treelines, plenty of beach access, and, of course food, drink, and a plethora of local boutiques.

  • Seaside: The gulf breeze meets the irresistible smells of food trucks here. You might not even have enough time to try them all in one trip! There is also an amphitheater for events, a nice selection of local boutiques, and more restaurants if food trucks aren't your thing.

  • Grayton Beach: Nearly the middle of 30A is Grayton Beach. On Co Hwy 283 S just north of the 30A intersection there is a large free public parking area with a shuttle. Like many other areas you'll find restaurants, bars, and little boutiques. Head south from the intersection and you'll reach the Grayton Dunes Beach Access.

Point Washington State Forest

  • Nestled largely between 30A and Hwy 98 is Point Washington State Forest. This is where you really get to experience Northwest Florida nature. There are many vehicle trails as well as bike/hike trails.

  • Eastern Lake Trail Head: It is recommended to start here if you’ve never explored this area before. There is parking as well as a bathroom. It is central to Point Washington and, importantly, has a trail map.
